Dr. Walter C. Borman
Chief Executive Officer
One of the most widely cited industrial and organizational psychologists, Dr. Borman has authored more than 300 books, book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers. He is well known for his innovative work in the areas of performance measurement and developing new, more efficient, and more effective hiring assessments. Among his many pblications, he co-edited the I/O volume of the Handbook of Psychology (Dr. Borman, Ilgen, & Klimoski, 2003), and, with two PDRI colleagues, wrote the Personnel Selection chapter for the 1997 Annual Review of Psychology. Dr. Borman has served on the editorial boards of many journals in the I/O field, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Human Performance, and the International Journal of Selection and Assessment. He is Past President and Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). His work has been recognized with many prestigious awards, including being a four time recipient of the M. Scott Myers Award for applied research in the workplace and also being awarded SIOP’s lifetime achievement award for Distinguished Scientific Contributions.

Mr. Ken Hedberg
President
Mr. Hedberg brings over thirty years experience to his role, having led organizations through sustained rapid growth and turnaround situations in both large company environments and small, high growth contexts. He consults in strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership assessment, and executive coaching. His specialties include facilitating strategy formation in knowledge intensive organizations, designing high-challenge simulations for senior executives, and addressing complex cross cultural factors in global organizations. Prior to joining PDRI, he spent over fourteen years in C-level leadership roles at a leading global human resource consulting firm, including several years living in Belgium and consulting across Europe and Asia.

Dr. Elaine Pulakos
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Pulakos is an internationally recognized contributor to the field of industrial and organizational psychology. She recently received the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology’s (SIOP) lifetime achievement award for Distinguished Professional Contributions and her work in the area of selecting and developing an adaptive workforce received the M. Scott Myers Award for applied research in the workplace and the William A. Owens Scholarly Achievement Award for the best professional publication in 2002. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and SIOP, where she also served as President. She has published many articles in the areas of performance management, staffing, and human resources best practices, including three books: Performance management: A new approach for driving business results, Implementing organizational interventions: Steps, processes, and best practices, and The changing nature of performance: Implications for staffing, personnel actions, and employee development. She also authored two best practice volumes on performance management and staffing for the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Ms. Janis Houston
Vice President and Director of Research
Ms. Houston leads Research efforts at PDRI primarily in the areas of personnel selection, test/predictor development, validation, and implementation; performance measurement and performance management; and career/employee development. Ms. Houston has 30 years of applied research experience, providing consulting services to both private and public sector clients. Her research projects span a number of industries including technology, manufacturing, insurance and telecommunications, as well as all branches of the U.S. military. She has authored over 100 technical reports and articles, and has made numerous presentations of research results at professional conferences. Ms. Houston received her M.A. in Differential Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Gary Carter
Vice President
Dr. Carter leads Human Capital consulting services in PDRI's Washington, DC office, and works with other members of PDRI's management team to provide strategic and tactical direction for the organization. He has over twenty years of experience working with Federal government and commercial clients to design, validate, and implement integrated, competency-based human capital and talent management systems and processes. Dr. Carter’s areas of expertise include selection, career path development, performance management, job analysis, competency modeling, and training needs assessment and evaluation. He is the lead author of a recently published book entitled Career Paths: Charting Courses to Success for Organizations and their Employees (Carter, Cook & Dorsey, 2009, Wiley-Blackwell). Dr. Carter received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota and his B.A. in Psychology from The Catholic University of America.

Dr. Stuart S. Gittelman
Vice President
Dr. Gittelman leads the Training and Learning Services division in Washington, DC and is our Program Manager for our Training and Management Assistance IDIQ contracts with the US Office of Personnel Management. He brings over twenty years of experience leading organizations, providing technical excellence in training development and delivery, program oversight and management, and human performance evaluation to our consulting practice. His clients have included civilian, Federal Government, Department of Defense, commercial and academic organizations. Dr. Gittelman holds a Ph.D. in Human Factors Psychology from George Mason University and is a regular participant in career advisory panels for the Applied Cognition and Human Factors program and Instructional Technology program at George Mason University.

Mr. Mike Meyrowitz
Director
As Director of PDRI’s Information Technology Services division in Washington DC, Mr. Meyrowitz provides business, technical, and administrative leadership to PDRI. Under his leadership, the IT Services division provides integrated information technology solutions, systems and services in the area of Human Capital management. Mr. Meyrowitz has over 13 years of experience in the management, design and development of information systems supporting the missions of agencies in the Federal Marketplace. Federal Government customers have included Civilian and Department of Defense Agencies as well as the Intelligence Community. Prior to joining PDRI Mr. Meyrowitz directed Lockheed Martin’s Internet Applications Division. Mr. Meyrowitz holds a M.S. in Information Technology and a B.S. in Business from Virginia Tech.
