As part of the Office of Runway Safety's "Ten Initiatives for Reducing Runway Incursions," the FAA tasked PDRI (PTI) with developing computer-based training (CBT) to teach Air Traffic Controllers to recognize the limitations of human memory and manage those limitations. PTI's learning solution increases controller awareness of memory by presenting a theoretical model of memory function, and reflects a focus on increasing controller reliance on memory aids and techniques. The one-hour course breaks out of the standard FAA CBT template to incorporate colorful, custom artwork, and a custom graphical user interface. Return to Learning Solutions Sample Products |
