The Marine Corps Family Service Center determined that Marine recruits were not handling their finances responsibly, and required training. Using a fitness theme PDRI (PTI) developed "Financially Fit, Mission Ready!", a computer-based course that covers six key topics: financial planning, getting credit, bank relations, managing debt, saving and investing, and individual responsibility. The course provides young marines with basic information required to better manage personal finances and to make more informed financial decisions. The target audience for this training is United States Marines with a rank of E1, E2, and E3, with a secondary audience of senior enlisted personnel and officers.
